Spirit Jailbreak Gone Wrong

Hey guys, I set my 3GS to jailbreak and as it was done iTunes popped up. Now the iphone is stuck with the loading bar and the status wheel just turning. Tried holding home and power but no luck. any ideas?

Did you try unplugging from the computer and then just the power button for a long time?

Mine did the same thing the first time. No way out but to do a fresh restore in iTunes, then re-do it. Don't use a USB hub, plug the iPhone directly into the laptop\desktop. If you don't know how to do a fresh restore, search.

Ugh now the iPhone is stuck at the apple logo and not recognized by the computer. If I hold the power and home, it flashes and goes back to the apple.

What was the state of the phone when you started? Firmware, prior JB/unlock, etc?

3.1.3 clean. So now it's on the apple logo and occasionally the spinning circle comes up but doesn't move

Wondering if you used Spirit to jailbreak, why iTunes would pop up (unless you have the auto sync selection checked)

If you do, uncheck it and sync manually, saves problems (like this) down the road.
