There must be something different with the final release. I've been using the 9.2 beta and I was able to jailbreak my 3GS with Spirit just fine.

Same here, both a 3GS and an iPad. Guess I'll have to sit this one out. Although, when I walk in the door with my iPhone 4 on the 24th, I guess I'll have to sync my other stuff one last time ... :)

it only applies to fresh spirit jailbreaking not devices already jailbroken as it states in the tweet :p

Thanks...I was about to ask that question...I have a JailBroken iPad and didn't want to mess anything up becaused of the 9.2 release.

That's what I meant. I jailbroke a freshly DFU restored 3GS. A DFU wipe deletes all history of jailbreaks so this would be a fresh jailbreak. I don't want to download the final iTunes now only to find out it won't work with spirit anymore.

I checked apple update (I have the beta iTunes too) and there was no update so it looks like iTunes is the final version. If it worked fine for you then yeh all good no worries for you :)

love this cat and mouse game! in the end the Mouse always wins. :D

yeah the Giant is trying all it can, but just can't win.

Just upgraded my iTunes. I like how they updated the iphone pic.

I am just confirming what someone already said, my already jailbroken phone is working fine with iTunes 9.2.

I still wish I hadn't updated just in case I need to rejailbreak, but I wasn't even thinking.

On that point, can one not simply uninstall iTunes 9.2 and install an older version, say 9.1? Or does 9.2 make some permanent changes to the iPhone that renders Spirit unable to JB it.

I want to know this as well before I install 9.2

If you expect to stay on the jailbreak train, you better break that habit of updating without thinking.

Im debating on downloading 9.2...ive heard good things about the new interface..ive already jailbroken my 3gs with spirt...would there be any reason to hold off?

Well, I kept checking the dev team blog and there was no word there.
I didn't think I had to check Twitters! :( Why wouldn't they put that important info in the blog? Sigh

All aboard the jailbreak train choooochooooo :D
I just had to restore my ipad last week because some apps kept crashing but after restoring they work fine, so I won't be updating to 9.2 if it means I lose the ability to restore.

It's important, but it's not important. When I was checking the blog, I was wondering where they were posting the lesser updates. That's why I checked the twitter feed.
