Spirit Vs Redsn0w (iPhone 3G)

Spirit jailbreaks 3GS out of the box with 3.1.3. Redsn0w doesn't (yet)
Edit: I misread the phone type. Since it's a 3G Redsn0w will jailbreak a 3G with 3.1.3 (point Redsn0w at 3.1.2 IPSW)
I jailbroke my 3G with redsn0w running 3.1.3.. I had to jailbreak it using the 3.1.2 option with redsn0w 0.94?
Spirit is for getting around a tethered jailbreak on a 3GS. You don't need Sprint for a 3G.
Definitely redsn0w, if your willing to spend the extras 1 minute. Then redsn0w is safer and waaay better.
what are you basing the fact redsn0w is safer on?
end of the day they both as good as each other, they both serve different purposes.
Redsn0w - for 2g & 3g iPhones/1g & 2g iPod Touches upto 3.1.3
Spirit - all devices on 3.1.3 allowing untethered jailbreak for 3Gs
Redsn0w is preferable for a 3G because it uses a lower-level exploit which cannot be so easily patched by Apple. The userland exploit used by Spirit could easily be undone by a future version of iTunes without even a firmware update.
it works on all devices including iPad all gen iPod Touches and iPhones it's biggest advantage is the simple one click jailbreak..... the one click jailbreak is a benefit to all for a hassle free jailbreak.
But as above it's a userland hack which can be fixed by apple
Jailbroke my 3G on 3.1.3 last night with spirit. No problems so far-iPhone seems quick than the prevoius blackra1n jb.
