I shot some video with my iPhone 4 of me playing my drum set and noticed the sound does not distort on the high sound pressure level (SPL) from the high decibel rhythm. My previous iPhone 3G with Cycorder app had extreme sound distortion in its recordings. The mic couldn't handle the volume (over-powered). The iPhone 4 seems to have a better mic with maybe a capacitor to roll the high SPL to avoid distortion in the recording. Did the iPhone 3GS have a mic like this also?

I think we'll see some great musical artist concert bootleg recordings with the iPhone 4. :)
