I drink more beer (from a shared picture) and eat more appetizers than most.

It's someone's birthday. They don't pay for their own food. So everyone pays for themselves, but also pitches in for the birthday guest.

Everyone dinner cost a different amount, but they can't just pay the menu price because that doesn't include tax or tip. So the final bill needs split.
