Can iMovie take the audio which you can export only from a mp4 file ? There by splitting the video and audio ?

Or must i use another tool ?

I'm trying to take a DVD, and i was hoping to encode it with Handbrake, then use iMovie to export just the audio, and remove the video..

The idea, is to put the audio on CD... The DVD source is a music concert.

Audacity will open at least mp4 and mkv movie files and allow you save the audio tracks in a variety of formats. It'll probably open the sound tracks from many other video file types as well.

ok thanks.., can Quicktime also join two video files or must you do this in iMoviie ?

Dragging and dropping second file does not work.

Open each movie in a separate quicktime window.

Movie 1 click View-->Show Clips

Movie 2 DRAG the small icon in the top of the window (left of the file name) into the clips of Movie 1.

Et Voila!
