It really bugs me if it happened on my iPhone X. Hope it's limited to 8 models only.

I guess time will tell. If enough cases surface, it may or may not provoke a response from Apple on it. But I'm sure will see an article on this on Macrumors likely next week.
Might be rare, but we'll see what happens. X isn't out yet, but I know MR will cover this if it is noticeable problem.
