Split Keyboard for Non-TouchID iPads

Does anyone know if Apple has any plan to reinstate the split keyboard function for FaceID iPads? It was a great feature lost years ago. I’m hoping iPadOS 26 might bring it back. It was so much easier for quick typing, especially when using landscape orientation.
