**EDIT** Never mind... it seems to have sorted itself out. Working normally now...
Just updated to Sierra. Right off the bat, one thing that isn't working properly seems to be split-screening apps. I normally have Mail and Messages split-screened together on one desktop space. When I attempt to do this in Sierra, Mail takes its place properly, but when I click on Messages to occupy the other half of the screen, it takes up the entire screen - but stays in the same desktop space as Mail. So - I have Mail taking up half the screen, and Messages taking up the whole screen, either underneath Mail or on top of it, depending which is active.
Any advice on resolving this? Curiously, this was not the case in the Sierra GM Beta that I had installed before today's release...
