Split View Shortcuts?

hey guys,

a friend of mine bought her first Mac yesterday and I've tried to get split view to work, other than clicking the green button and fiddle around with it. On Windows 7 I'm just pressing win + left or right arrow or just "snap" it by draging it.

I've asked uncle google but I just can't find a shortcut to do it? Maybe I'm too satupid but something as simple as that should be very easy to do right?

Yeah, it SHOULD be that easy, but it isn't. There are no shortcuts for Apple's implementation. That being said, there are several apps that will do what you want and so much more. SizeUp comes to mind, but there are several.
