I have an external hard drive (NTFS) that has a bunch of old videos and pictures that I really don't need immediate access too. What I want to do is burn everything from the hard drive onto DVDs.

Is there any program with which I can just specify what I want to backup, and it'll automatically split that backup over multiple DVDs? I searched and found a post that suggested SilverKeeper, but it won't automatically split the backup like the poster though.

Apple's Backup application that you can download if you are a .mac member will do that job. However, from personal experience I can recommend against spanning multiple disks if you can avoid it since if you get a duff disk in the middle somewhere then your entire backup is worthless.

Well, I found a solution. For future reference, Toast 7 has a nice multiple DVD backup feature that I used. But ya, i understand the potential problem w/ multiple discs. I've got a copy on HD too, so hopefully I'll be okay.
