Splitting itunes library

Hello! This is probably a basic question and I apologize but, no one
seems to know the answer, so far...

I have been ripping movies with Handbrake from my DVD collection and
have been adding them into iTunes to put on my iPad/iPhone or play
though the appleTV. Unfortunately, I have now run out of space on my
laptop and am looking at moving the movie to an external drive
networked through a time machine. I have downloaded and attached art
for a majority of these movies to show up in iTunes. My question is
when I move these movies, will that artwork stay connected to those
movies? Or, will I have to back through and attach the art again?
