Update: Stream available

It seems Apple will not be offering a video feed for this event. We've created this spoiler free page for readers who prefer watching the keynote themselves without knowing the outcome. Apple will likely post a recorded QuickTime stream a few hours after the keynote ends.

You can also subscribe to our notification list which will send out an email when the keynote is posted online. The mailing list will only be used for notifications for these spoiler free announcements and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Notify me of Keynote Stream function CheckMultiple5(frm, name) { for (var i=0; i < frm.length; i++) { fldObj = frm.elements; fldId = fldObj.id; if (fldId) { var fieldnamecheck=fldObj.id.indexOf(name); if (fieldnamecheck != -1) { if (fldObj.checked) { return true; } } } } return false; } function CheckForm5(f) { if (f.email.value == "") { alert("Please enter your email address."); f.email.focus(); return false; } return true; };
Apple can take several hours to post the feed. The mailing list can also take up to a couple of hours to send out all the emails. Be patient. Or keep checking this page.

It seems Apple will not be offering a video feed for this event.

I have been put on Apple's roller coaster of emotions. They do a live feed of an event for the first time in 6 years last month and now it's not happening?? I don't like it at all... I hope Apple comes out with some awesome new stuff then.

EDIT: Well thank goodness Apple ended up continuing with their live streaming! Good job today, Apple.

Yeah it's strange that they won't stream the keynote live.
I still haven't decided wether to stay spoiler free or read the live coverage. I know staying spoiler free is much more fun, but as I live in europe, I'd have to watch the video some time tomorrow morning before I go to work…

It's a bit disappointing that they probably won't be doing a live stream. But on the other hand, I can't comfortably watch it on my iPod Touch anyway.

Here's to avoiding everywhere on the internet tomorrow except this thread and the Keynote Checker. Yipee.

For everyone wanting to stay spoiler free: stay away from any site that could potentially contain spoilers from now on! I just visited the front page of mr.com, and of course there were already some leaks.

you have been warned!

I do hope there'll be streaming from Apple.
But will also get the HD podcast when available. :)

Crap. I was hoping for that live stream.

Yeah it really sucks that they aren't doing a livestream. Doesn't make any sense either (from a technical standpoint). It must be a marketing thing.

Could it be possible that these sites have received news from Apple which is not yet posted on apple.com ?

According to the german site, it did originate from Apple. Here is a translation by Google:
Official: Back-to-the-Mac event video streaming

Apple makes it exciting: We just received a press release in which Apple announced that today's "Back to the Mac" media event will be broadcast live over the Internet. To watch the stream is, according to Apple, a Mac with Safari on Mac OS X version 10.6 "Snow Leopard", an iPhone or iPod touch requires iPad iOS 3.0 or higher, or a. The live broadcast begins at 19 clock and is directly on www.apple.com [1] to achieve.

I stand corrected. Normally, I wouldn't trust anything until I see it come from apple.com, but it looks like enough 3rd party sites have confirmed it that it's bound to be true (unless they are all referencing each others rumors ;)).

Hooray! :)

Finally, Apple has just issued a press release that they will provide a live stream!!!

Awesome! You have a link?

Sweet!

Now they do Live streaming I usually seem to busy at start time. I'll still have to go spoiler free.

Does the Live stream link go straight to on demand after?

You know, I think Apple's willingness to stream could be my doing. Last time we all had to wait like 10 hours for the video (two events ago) I wrote him this letter:

Dear Steve,

Every time you have an announcement I wait for the video to come out so I can hear you tell it to me. I'm not interested in hearing the news from Gizmodo or Engadget. I wanna hear it from the prodigal horse's mouth.

I used to watch the live streams. I used to drive 300 miles both ways to the nearest Apple store playing the satellite feed. But now our only option besides actually being there is to wait for the video. And every time it takes at least 8 hours to get the video up. Right now I'm chatting with hundreds of other people who have been waiting for that video to show up for nearly 10 hours. Many have given up. Gone to sleep. But the ones who remain are tough and are clambering for the sweet release..of the video. Please put us out of our misery.

~Cody

ps. If you respond, keep in mind I have no idea what was announced today and intend to stay that way until the video comes out.

And now they stream their events. No need to worship me. :D
