I just wanted to post a rant about spoilers, both deliberate (which one can avoid though in an ideal world one shouldn't have to) and a result of search engine algorithms. Also in the age of streaming many followers of a series are not caught up, and even in the case of a blockbuster film coming out (Avengers: Endgame for example) social media has been a bane for those who are trying to avoid spoilers.
YouTube served me up a big spoiler a couple of months ago in the most bizarre way. I present the video below.
The spoilers are in the comments.
I partly figured out part of it as a long time sci-fi fan which I mentioned in another thread on time travel paradoxes. Annoying but avoidable except for the ******s who deliberately post spoilers in commnets as I have experienced especially character deaths. So don't search for any series on social media right?
What if like me you enjoy watching reaction videos/reviews or even series soundtracks or remixes you are not protected. I also have just completed season one of the anime Demon Slayer, and a film that will bridge the gap between season one and the upcoming season 2 has just come out. Well some soundtracks (!) both official and remakes have just come up that spoil the death of a character.
Other channels post spoilery thumbnails and titles as well.
It does seem to be worse with adaptations, though most people who watched the LOTR films and had read the books (pretty few I wager) didn't seem to care. I don't recall fans of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" books ruining the plot of "Game of Thrones" at least when the TV series was following the plot in the books. Maybe I am wrong as I never watched it. Anime/manga fans seem to be pretty bad though as this guy rants.
So is anyone else bothered by spoilers and tries to avoid them? Is it even possible other than unhooking internet completely (which would close access to what you are trying to watch). I guess the rule is not to search for your franchise online except to watch it and avoid any postings of soundtracks or reviews on YouTube and especailly DON'T READ COMMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!!

The Attack on Titan manga has just been completed and from the chapters not yet adapted, coming this winter, it seems the main character Eren Yeager will take this form to pass the titan powers to the woman from 2000 years before supposed to be at the origin of these powers in a sort of temporal loop.
