spoofing MAC adress (3.2.2)

Alright,


I tried spoofMac from Cydia under Utilities..

didn't work..


now i installed the latest Mobile Terminal and installed the ntwek- commands from telesphoreo tangelo so i have ifconfig in the terminal..

then tried:

Code: 
su

then the password alpine


then

Code: 
ifconfig en0 ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
(not showing the mac adress i intended)


press enter and that works just fine.. but then when i check with

Code: 
ifconfig en0


it just shows the old mac adress...

any ideas?
