At the iPhone hacks section.
Hey has anyone heard of that new cydia package called spooftexting?
You can text people using any other number than yours.
Good for pulling a few pranks here and there:D
Anyone know anything similar out there but without having to pay $5 for 10 texts.

just searched it and can't find the app "spooftexting"? is it called something else maybe? thanks

Just my experience with spooftext. I downloaded spooftext from cydia the other day when it first came out. At first didn't realize it cost but went ahead and bought 10 messages for $4.99. I got it just to screw with my wife. A bit pricey in my opinion but it works exactly as described. It did take a few reboots to get it to work though. Also, have to use the default messaging app. It didn't work with bite. Once my 10 messages are gone I won't be buying anymore though! If it was 50 messages for $4.99 I'd probably use it at that price.
 
www.spoofcard.com is the website that let's you spoof your phone number for calls. They just released SMS spoofing a couple of months ago. I've used it multiple times. Works great. I also think it's cheaper.

i install from cydia, but never see an icon?

just figured it out...dont work with bitesms...had to unhide 'messages' icon

Did you use a valid mobile number on the texts? We have a very high success rate with our text message delivery, except when users ignore the warnings in the app and try to send texts from bogus numbers like 666-666-6666, which we find is typically the issue.

Yep... I text with these two people all the time... And when I reversed the sender and the receiver it works...so I don't know what's the deal
 
Very Dissapointed

I wanted to try this out before paying $5 for 10 txts (which I still feel is too high) So I went to the http://spooftexting.com/freecredits.php site and went all the way through the insurance estimate (for 11 credits), called them at the end, got the verification number, put it on the site and it said it was complete. The spooftexting site continued to say "not completed yet" and "waiting for completion". So now a million insurance agents got my number but I got nothing. I would do the 9 credits for the game trial thing but I am not giving my card out and then have to cancel the subscription before they bill.... Lower the prices or fix the "earn credits" survey....:mad:
