Spore not getting past splash screen

So I have Spore for my Mac. I have not downloaded any update, and have deleted cider_noui.

But when I start up Spore, it does not get past the splash screen. It is responding, but just stays there. Once every like 10 minutes it jumps and tells me to enter registration code. I enter it, but after another 10 minutes it jumps again.

Anyone know a solution?
