Will Spore and Spore galactic adventures run efficiently on the aluminum Macbook 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo? I have 2GB of stock RAM, what kind of RAM would you suggest using to upgrade it to 4 GB? Thank you!

I might of used someone else's message from another game, but still..we are in the same situation.

Seriously man... Mroogle.

I have the exact system as yours and I played Call of Duty 4 with no problems. Settings are default. Slight graphic sometimes when loading missions but very playable and the lag won't interrupt your gameplay.

I don't know how graphic intensive Spore is but I thought CoD4 was a graphic intensive game. Guess you would have to check the requirements for both games.

for some reason spore crashed on my al. macbook (specs in sig) still havent played 1 second of it bc of it. i gave up

It plays on the Unibody MacBook no problem. The 9400m is pretty capable at 1280x800 resolution. If you decide to run an external display, the graphic quality is going to be needed to be sacrificed to keep a decent fps. Not so much with a game like Spore, but can when there is a lot of action. More RAM would make a difference. I can play Steam games like Left 4 Dead in Windows XP at 1280x800 at medium high. Lags a little bit, but I only have 2gb RAM.

Plays absolutely fine on my 2.4GHz 2GB Ram Unibody, no problems. It's a great game, just watch your temps as the aluminium can get a little toasty. :)

Yeah, I pump up the fans with SMCfan control then load it up and it runs lovely (on a 2Ghz Alu MacBook) :)

# Spore requires at least the following:
# * Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard or higher
# * Intel Core Duo Processor
# * 1024 MB RAM
# * ATI X1600 or NVIDIA 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100
# * At least 4 GB of hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for creations.
