The sport loop band just arrived. It's comfortable and easy to put on and take off. With that said, I would not use this band for any active water sports (swimming, surfing, wakeboarding, water park, etc). The velcro on the watch separates far too easily - for active water activities. It takes less pressure to separate the velcro than using a single finger to turn on/off a wall light switch. I'm going to swap it with the band on my other Apple Watch.

I used a sport loop for 3 years and never had a second thought about it coming off when swimming or doing anything active. Not sure the solo loop will be better but may be.

The difference would be that the solo loop wouldn’t separate, as it’s unified as one band, but according to the OP, the Velcro weakens with water, so I would suspect that Solo loop would probably be the better option in this scenario.

I'm thinking more of impact aquatic sports. I had a velcro UAG band. It never came off, but right around month 18, it fell off. Fortunately, I had a long sleeve rash guard on so I caught it in my shirt before losing it to the ocean. It happened again a few weeks later. I replaced it with another UAG band but this time it's a nylon band. When you get pushed down 10+ feet while the ocean abuses you and pulls your limbs in different directions, your watch band will be tested. In retrospect, I really liked the UAG velcro and may but it again. I'll just place a reminder to replace it at 13 months.
