Hi,

I have signed up to receive my invitation to Spotify Free, and am awaiting its arrival. What's the con to using the free version besides getting hit with Ads? Is it a free trial or is there some sort of cap to the amount of music I can listen to?

I don't want to put the music anywhere, I just want to listen to tracks when I am on my notebook, and don't mind listening to Ads really if I'd have to pay at least $5/month not to.

Will I be capped (in terms of music time) or only have x number of days to use this application? How does the free version work?

Thanks.

The free version plays lower quality files than the paid versions do.

There are restrictions that kick in after 6 months: 10 hours of music per month and 5 plays of any track (that's five plays period, not per month)

I guess there had to have been some way for them to encourage people to pay for it.

Do they even state this anywhere on the site? I feel deceived, lol. It's free after all, though. : )
