Is anyone else having a pretty major issue with the app on beta 3? If I change the volume (either on the app or via the buttons) it stops the song and crashes the app.

Ps. I'm not complaining, am aware it's a beta, just seeing if it's just me.

I just noticed this on my flight in from Hawaii tonight. While certainly not perfect (it's a beta), the volume thing is hardly a big issue. I don't really have to edit the volume that often, so it is a minor inconvenience rather than a hassle

Oh I'm constantly adjusting the volume. At least in London, travelling on public transport has such a variation of noise it is almost impossible without being that annoying guy with loud music on the tube.

Also I would probably argue that, regardless of your usage of it, a music app that can't adjust volume is pretty major.

I don't have this problem.

I've used the buttons on the device and the earpods to change the volume with Spotify.

Looks like it's related to the Volume slider. If you don't have the volume slider visible (because the "Now Playing" screen is not open), then it doesn't seem to crash as much...

Presumably Apple has changed something with the way that UISlider works.

I just registered (after lurking for years), to mention that I'm having this problem as well. When I press the volume down/up just once it crashes Spotify. Trying to slide the volume on the lock screen crashes Spotify as well.

I'm downgrading back to Beta 2 for now because I use Spotify a whole lot and this is pretty annoying.

The iOS 4 app isn't the worst. I think beta 3 has been much better so far, so I would say having an app that's not iPhone 5 optimised is better than beta 2.

Just search "Spotify for iOS 4" in the app store.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be major if it remained that way, I'm saying that considering that we are in Beta, I am not seeing it as much more than inconvenience

I did make sure that I stated that I was aware it's a beta. I'm not here to scream at how bad Apple and/or Spotify are.

Still, it's a major bug to me. Fixable in the interim, but still a bug nonetheless.

Hence why it's only meant for developers, and not your daily phone.

Indeed Tunigo works great and even supports offline playlists. It also contains a feature I want in the official Spotify app and that is cleaning caches :)

Try out Tunigo. It use the Spotify backend and you can access your playlists as in Spotify. Tried to make it crash on IOS7b3 but haven't succeeded so far.

https://itunes.apple.com/app/tunigo/id648851410?mt=8

Thanks for the suggestion. Tunigo works great and I really like the interface :apple: I actually think it kind of destroys the Spotify app in terms of usability and music discovery.
