Spotify won't download on 10.5.8

Hi, was listening to spotify and it said restart for upgrade, so I did that and it just crashed when trying to open it. So deleted it, re downloaded the installer and the installer just says downloading spotify and does nothing, I've downloaded the installer a few times, reset the mac, all sorts.

Any ideas?
