Hello! I'm a mac switcher. I used Tiger for about 1 month and I loved it.
So I installed Leopard 2 days ago and system looks faster but graphic animations they are very slow. I red somewhere that it is possibly due to Spotlight activity. So here is my question:
how do I check if Spotlight is still indexing my files? Thank you.

MacBook
Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHZ, 1GB ram

If you click the little magnifying glass in the upper right corner it'll show a progress bar if Spotlight's indexing.

My suggestion is to get more RAM for your MacBook.

Thank you for you reply, so it doesn't show and it is not indexing.
Do you think that slowness depends on ram? At the moment free ram is about 300Mb and animations they are slow the same, expecially whit dock and windows animations.

I've noticed graphical slow downs on my Mac mini running the GMA 950 even with 2 GB of RAM.

It's not as pronounced on my new MacBook but under heavy load you'll notice delay.

Do you think Apple is goint to fix it? It is annoyng to have this problem of graphic performance on a 1 month old notebook!
