Hi All,

I would like to know if Spotlight has or provides AI while predicting user's intention or searching.

I would be grateful if anyone can provide a link or article that indicates Spotlight providing Artificial Intelligence.

I have checked the Query Programming guide, but Apple documentation does not give any info about it.

The closest link that I could search was http://www.thinkartificial.org/artificial-intelligence/apple-leopard-ai/

As far as I am aware, Spotlight uses AI only to determine the top hit in search results, and determines this based on several factors:

1. The closest matching file name to what has been typed so far
2. Finder usage history (i.e. which files/folders were most recently used)
3. Closest metadata match
