Hi all,

as the title says, spotlight.app is in my Applications folder. It actually has been there for a very long time, probably a year, but I guess I'm just getting around to posting about it. I don't believe it normally sits there, but rather in some System>Library folder. I would like to get it where it belongs just because it's a small annoyance to have it there. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure what happened to get it there either.

Thanks!

Yep, my spotlight still works just fine (although I barely use it).

Perhaps… I used to tinker around a lot with programs like Onyx that let you mess with a lot of hidden settings, etc.

Moving it to the Services folder worked.

This 2006 Macbook has been through a lot, but still going strong ;)
