It seems like when I run a program via Spotlight (ie. Search Iphoto, Clicking on it) the application does not open (it just loads) until the search in Spotlight is manually ended or is finished. If I leave Spotlight to continue to search for "Iphoto" or whatever application and run the application from Spotlight at the same time, the indicator will blink for a while and return a "Not Responding" error from the application

Any input?

As long as 'Applications' are still at the top of the list in Spotlight preferences (on the bottom of the spotlight window)
Typing iPhoto into the spotlight box then hitting the return key should just open the app in the normal way and spotlight closes.

Nvm! I found a solution to the issue. Thanks!
