This stupid spotlight keeps indexing my bootcamp partition. Even in battery mode. First I unmounted bootcamp to see if this stupid NTFS-3G process would stop doing nonsense work and killing my battery life. It did and I figured it was spotlight again and it was.
I used to put the whole bootcamp partition into the private/exception list of spotlight prefs. But it disappeard and whenever bootcamp is unmounted and mounted again it disappears from this list.

Is this normal. I cannot test it now but my external HDD NTFS partitions I think stayed in the exception list.
Do they stay in your prefs and how can I make them permanent.

I think you can set spotlight to not index your bootcamp partition in the system preferences panel. And, its not normal for spotlight to do this.

I did set it to not index in the pref panel. The problem is this adjustment disappears whenever I unmount the drive. I'd want it to know whenever any drive is mounted to ignore this drive and not permanently forget about the ignore it rule as soon as it is unmounted.
