How can I get the dictionary within Spotlight to work?

I remember this feature when i first got Leopard but hasn't worked since then, how can I get it to do so?

any help on this one?

pls.

:]

Dictionary in Spotlight is activated whenever you begin typing a word. For example, if I want to get the definition for "pedantic," I would just type that word in Spotlight and the definition will appear among the search results.

Interesting choice of word. Personally, I would have chosen "overscrupulous". :D

is that all?
wow thats lame

No definition group under Spotlight

I'm using OS X 10.5.6, and the Dictionary function of Spotlight isn't working. For any word I type, all I get are references to files or apps with that word in the name or in the file content/metadata. I never see a Definition grouping in the Spotlight results list. What's up with that?
