Spotlight does not search inside Numbers documents?

My excel files work great in spotlight. I can easily search for an amount, invoice number, company, etc. and spotlight finds excel documents containing those values inside the excel document.

However, it does not return any results, for my Numbers documents. Any idea why?

Is this impossible to do?

This should not be impossible, unless your Spotlight plugin for Numbers is defective, though I'm not sure what would cause that to happen. If all else fails, reinstall Numbers.

Ok, I've now found that it will find words inside the Numbers documents.

However, it will not find numbers inside the numbers documents. Any idea if there is a way to fix this even unofficially?

Spotlight has no problem finding numbers within excel.
