I know currently Spotlight on iPhone OS 3.0 does NOT search the body of emails, however I'm curious if anyone who has played around with the 3.1 betas knows if that's changed?

Before you ask, yes, I've searched the forums and have not come up with an answer to my question, hence, why I'm asking here! :)

Been awhile and nobody has commented on this. Just curious if there has been any update to info regarding it :-\

I too would like to know. It's very frustrating that it's not currently included - Spotlight would be way more useful if it searched EVERYTHING - notes in contacts, additional info etc etc. It's great but still too limited.

Click on mail app
choose account if more than one
go into inbox
pull the screen down to search emails

It's probably not too far off but I'm thinking that it takes up a little bit of resources for such a little machine to be potentially indexing many thousands of emails.
