Alright, so I've done a few searches and haven't found what ails me.

My MBP has recently (in the last month or two) started indexing on every boot-up, even though not ONE file has changed (I read a post in my searches that said it could be due to large files being downloaded to the machine or something).

I also added my Mac and Bootcamp drives t spotlights privacy list, then took them off to let Spotlight reindex completely (which only took 10 minutes or so...).

What's the deal? It's really quite annoying to have to wait 1min or so while Spotlight indexes...Anyone know a fix?

You might have an corrupted file that hangs the spotlight and forces it to reindex. Check the console log for error message "mdworker" and such ...
