After upgrading to sierra on my 2015 Macbook, I've been having some troubles with slow/sluggish performance, bad battery life, and occasional messages stating "your system has run out of application memory" that then requires quitting open applications (usually not much more than safari, mail, word, and powerpoint) and restarting. In watching activity monitor, it looks like it's the MDS_stores process that is causing issues as the memory just gradually increases until over 50gb. I've also now noticed that spotlight is not working for me. Or rather, it only searches a couple of things and not everything on my computer. Likewise, if input a word to search for through the mail app, nothing happens. Any ideas on fixes for spotlight with Sierra?
