Spotlight just stops working

It just won't find anything or show any results until I restart the iPad. Then it works for a day or so and it happens again. I am on the official release.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Which iPad model? Try turning off Wifi and Bluetooth; then set the date manually 1 year into the future; shut the iPad down (really off); wait 3 Mississippis; restart; wait 5 minutes; set the date to automatic and turn on BT and Wifi; Restart.
There will be some indexing, which might take a while depending on model and data.
