Though Spotlight seems to be able to successfully search and find emails, it sometimes fails to properly display a preview of some emails. It seems I get a preview if the mail item gets listed in Spotlight with a ".eml" extension, for example "Saturday BBQ.eml". Other email items that are listed will not have an extension, for example "Friday dinner", and Spotlight will not give me a preview of these items.

Is this normal? Can it be fixed?

(If it matters my email client is Thunderbird)
