Spotlight not finding all tagged notes, any way to improve? (iPhone / iPad)

Running a search for a tag I use (#Ref).

Spotlight on both the iPhone and iPad brings up Notes result. When I click on “Search in app” it expands these results - as expected. It shows a total of 7 notes tagged with this tag. The problem is, I have 25.

If I just tap on the tag itself (from the sidebar), Notes shows all 25.

Tried with another tag, same issue - only 6 results show in “Search in app” via Spotlight, vs 14 total.

All notes reside in my iCloud account.

It works the same on both the iPhone and iPad.

Is there any way to fix this? Or is Spotlight on iOS just trash?

Bugs like these is why I switched back to Obsidian. Sure you can work around them with 1000 - 2000 notes but as your notes grow, this **** is very unreliable.

Btw Settings → Reset → Reset All Settings might help with this. Spotlight indexing has been completely useless for me lately and resetting all settings seems to have fixed it.
