If I enter a keyword into spotlight, it finds the files no problem.

But if I open finder enter the same keyword, then make the place it's searching 'this mac' it doesn't find anything and just says 'searching this mac' forever.

How do I fix this?

Edit: For the sake of clarification, if I click the magnifying glass in the upper right of my screen, type a keyword, then it shows the files, but if I click "show all" and it takes me to Finder, none of the files are shown.

mdfind in terminal also finds the files.

So it's just a weird finder issue in Snow Leopard? Any suggestions?
