How is it this bad? i used to use spotlight search to find all my apps since I hid a bunch in folders it used to just be fast. Now half the time it cant even find apps on my phone but it shows wiki and web links? wtf on top of that when it does find the apps on my phone it puts them after web links...

Really hope they fix this app results always need to show up and show up on top!

You can adjust the results and order in Settings > General > Spotlight Search.

Thanks for the heads up this fixes some of the problem but it still fails to find apps on my phone sometimes :/

It's worth checking what the app is called (in the writing under the icon) and ignore any name it may have on the icon - I know this seems obvious but I just tried to replicate this by searching for an app I thought was called 'moog' and couldn't find it but realised it is actually called 'filtatron'

This is true. There is a difference between icon text and the actual app name.
