Spotlight other search problems on mac book pro

I have the newest mac book pro, and my spotlight down right sux... I have dumped my preferences related to spotlight, and still it barely finds anything.

Another problem is in my mac mail. If I search my mail, it will retrieve everything except with "entire message". Which of course is the main search feature I use on mail search. So between my spotlight not finding most my mail, and my mail search not working properly, I am having some major issues.

This computer is only 30 days old. My last mac book, and powerbook, had no problem searching with spotlight and mail search.

Any ideas? the operation system is the newest, I alwasy update when prompted automatically... And I did dump my preferences one time, to see if that would work.

I know you said you did something like this but drag your HD icon on the desktop into the Spotlight Privacy pane, then remove it from the pane and it should re-index your computer.
