Hi all,

I installed Tiger yesterday on my eMac, and have one major gripe that's putting a downer on the whole thing. Spotlight seems to be reindexing every few seconds, and pretty much pausing my computer when it does it. Even typing this post, I type in a load of letters that are then buffered until Spotlight stops, then they're rapidly thrown on screen. As you can imagine, this is making my Mac virtually unusable. I've tried restarting numerous times, I've tried deleting the spotlight index and letting it go all over again, but it always reverts to its constant reindexing. The only thing I can do is tell Spotlight not to index the hard drive - effectively turning Spotlight off for the computer - but that means I don't get to use one of the biggest features in the upgrade. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben
