Spotlight Results default sort by date?

The default sort order when using Spotlight is "rank"... but I want the default sort order to be DATE, especially in Mail... I want the default order to be DATE received/sent... the "rank" is usually incorrect based on my requirements and sorting by date makes a lot more sense especially in Mail.
