I'm not sure what happened, but recently my spotlight search has become slow. Before, when I started to type an application, it would show the application before I finished typing it. Now, it hesitates and loads for 3-5 seconds before it shows other stuff, then the application. Please, anyone. If there is some sort of reset command, or cache I need to delete, please let me know.

Problem Fixed

I finally found it out. You need to restart the indexing process.

In Terminal, type:

sudo mdutil -E /

sudo mdutil -i on /

It will prompt you for your password. Then after a few seconds, spotlight will begin to index and things will be fast again. :D
