Spotlight search very slow

iOS 8 has been fine for me with one exception, the Spotlight Search has been extremely laggy. With iOS 7 on my iPhone, I would get results as soon as I typed them. With iOS 8, I have to wait 5-8 seconds before getting my results if I want to find a particular song, for example.

I disabled Bing, btw.

I haven't had a problem since they first added spotlight, whenever that was. Back then I turned off the things that I never use. I never need to search through music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, voice memos, etc. Turning off the extra stuff helped speed it up back then. Your mileage may vary.
