Spotlight "Show All" freezes

I'm running an MBP with 10.6.8. If I do a spotlight search and then click "Show All", the resulting Finder window is totally unresponsive. I have to Force Quit Finder to get rid of it.

I've seen a few references to this problem on the web, but no solution. Any ideas? Thanks.
