Spotlight trouble - any advice?

I am having difficulties using Spotlight to search for files on my 750gb external drive - none of the files show up at all in the search, nothing appears to be indexed. To be specific, the drive is in the NTFS file format, which is able to be read and written to using a driver called Paragon: http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/ . I have tried "refreshing" my spotlight index by adding the drive to the privacy list and then taking it off, however that did nothing. I turned hidden files on to see if the Spotlight directory was being created inside the drive, and it is indeed there and was modified quite recently. Any suggestions, please?

I was correct with the assumption that Spotlight was not indexing the drive properly, I had to enable it using one of the commands listed on this website: http://www.macworld.com/article/45793/2005/07/augustgeekfactor.html

Now all is good...
