Since there are a few people who are obviously members of the developer network here I'll complain here.

I'm quite disturbed by the fact that there is no mention of a AppleWorks meta-data importer for Spotlight. I wonder if this is indicative of Apple about to release a major rework of AppleWorks. I certainly hope they don't leave AppleWorks behind.

It searches through Microsoft Word Documents, and AppleWorks uses that format, no?

No. AppleWorks documents can be saved in Word format but default is AppleWorks format (.cwk). Wonder if AppleWorks files saved in Word format will be indexed by Spotlight??
