spotlight

When i go to the menu bar or command spacebar to open spotlight nothing happens... but when i go to option-command-spacebar it works fine...
any thoughts?

i found this .plist file "com.apple.spotlight.plist" should i delete it and see if that works

ya when i press the command space bar the spotlight icon changes like how its selected but i don't get the box to search...

ya i thought a restart would solve it, but i did a few of those and it didn't work...
I might go to the apple store tonight to pick up a nano case, i'll ask at the genius bar

I had this on an Intel iMac and fixed it by changing the resolution to something different and back again. A bug that took me a long time to find the solution to.
