Hi

Am I alone in having difficulties with this application? I cannot seem to locate any file when I use it. I type in part of the file name and rarely find what I want. If I try to use some part of a document's text, it is just the same.

Can someone tell me if I must be doing something wrong please? Any ideas what it could be?

I am also finding difficulties in compressing files but have put this on another thread to avoid confusion

You're not using Tiger if you're using 10.5.5.

Try reindexing.

Sorry lost the plot I meant Leopard of course. Can you explain re indexing to this idiot please?

No problems I have found how to do it. Re indexing did the trick. I hadn't heard of it before, but as I said I'm an idiot with macs. Thanks for the help.
