Spotlighting frozen while indexing, reporting negative time

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the fact that Time Machine can't seem to back up anything anymore, but Spotlight has been 'frozen' while indexing. As you can see in the picture, it's not displaying anything, well, rational. :O

Any ideas?
