Column D is 176 rows deep. In column E I want to divide each no. in D by 52. What are the steps?

Thanks

In E1 (or E2 if first row is header), write =D1/52 (or D2 if first row is header)
Copy and paste E1 (E2) into the remaining cells in column E

These work in Excel, not sure what spreadsheet you are using.

You didn't mention what program you're using. This is a pretty basic function of any spreadsheet, though. Did you take the time to check your program's Help feature? Or take a basic tutorial? This is entry-level stuff.

I'm using Appleworks, and yes, I read help and looked at the tutorial, but, alas, unlike my EXCEL with the drag feature, it wasn't clear how to populate the remaining 175 rows with the appropriate answer. I'm sure you know, so would you divulge the solution?

Thanks

What happens if you copy and paste?
