Sprinboard backup and restore?

I posted this in your other thread (I didn't notice this one until now).
PkgBackup should be able to backup your Springboard layout, but it'll tell you that you need to have SBOrganizer installed for it to do so. Look in your settings on PkgBackup and you should see a "backup layout" option. When you turn it on, it should tell you that you're missing SBOrganizer if you don't have it.
Thankfully, I've yet to have to use the "backup layout" option, though I have used PkgBackup after a crash and it worked flawlessly. But I don't see why it wouldn't work.
